Ken Stone has a post that tells why. This link hasn’t much to do with newspaper editing but a lot to do with the coolness of blogging. I check all my editors’ blogs for links every day or so. Ken’s blog is for masters track competitors, so you’d have to be a high jumper to give a flip (sorry) about most of his links. Still, I stop by because it takes 10 seconds and who knows, maybe something cool will turn up. This morning I clicked on the story of a guy whose hobby is pole vaulting, and how a split second of bad luck nearly ruined his life. It’s gripping (sorry again) reading. This amazing tendency to stumble across fascinating stuff online creates the urge to pass it along. Blogging just makes it a lot easier.
