Mark your calendars — the jaunt to the top of Morgan Hill’s signature conical peak is coming soon:
March 28: Hike Up El Toro – Hike leaves from the Morgan Hill Library, 660 W. Main Ave. (corner of Main and Dewitt Ave.) at 7:45 AM and 9:45 AM – refreshments will be served at the end of the hike – No Charge. You should arrive 15 minutes earlier for both hikes. This is a moderate to difficult hike to the top. Please bring Gloves, wear sturdy shoes and bring your water bottle!
Special thanks to Ann for posting the news on a comment here last week.
Now I have to start getting in shape so all my young-and-strong blog readers won’t embarrass me on the way up like last year. (Come to think of it, Winehiker Russ, who is older but stronger, left me in the dust too.)
Thanks for the post. It just happens to be the same day I’m planning on hiking at Butano SP, so I’ll probably miss it this yr.
Take lots of pictures & report back if you go.

I’ve been waiting ALL YEAR for this!
Alas, I’ll be out on a 4wb hike on the Iron horse Trail. Darn! It looks like my kinda hill. Am also busy planning the annual Carrizo Plain get together in April. Dang, I LOVE this country!
