Only 50 acres are reported burned so far. The Mercury News has the latest update, and there’s a map of the location. In a word: boonies.
CDF is calling it the Martin Fire. Evacuations in effect for Ice Cream Grade Road, Martin Road, Moon Rock Road and Pine Flat Road.
(I”m at work so I’ll be busy with other news; if you know anything, please say so in the comments.)
Let’s hope for calm winds. Gonna be a long summer.

KRON4 has a live fire chat going on.
Closer to home, I was turned away in my attempt to do my training hike in Alum Rock Park this morning. A barricade on the main entrance road, and another at the Creek Trail trailhead informed me of the fine for entering the park when it’s closed.
Then I found an easy-to-overlook mention of that closure here: http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_9548910
