Tree Huggers in Training is Bay Area based (natch), with tips on places to take the littlest tykes along. Dana and Beth, the blog’s proprietors, have hiked a few familiar places — Coyote Hills and Tilden Park, for instance — and have links to hikes categorized by distance (none over eight miles, which makes sense).
This reminds me of the time I was going up Mission Peak and I asked this very athletic woman carrying an infant in a sling, “you carrying that baby all the way to the top?”
“Unless you want to,” she said. I declined.
But anyway: it’s good to see another site about getting the kids out into the woods.
