LinkedIn is a professional networking site whose membership includes a remarkable number of acquaintances of mine. Yesterday a woman I worked with in 1990 added me to her network, which is nice to know since she’s the editor in chief of a newspaper these days (always good to know people you can beg for a job in a crunch).
LinkedIn’s Network also includes a host of Two-Heel Drive irregulars:
- John at Fedak.net
- Randy a frequent local hiker meet-up
attendee. - Tom Clifton, another multiple meet-up attendee.
- Vindu, a guy I work with and have hiked with on many occasions
- Steve at The Wildebeat.
- Mike of the FOMFOK hiking club.
- Bryan at WildrLog.
- Jim, AKA Cutter.
- Tom at Trout Underground.
- Russ at at California Wine Hikes
- Dan Mitchell of Dan’s Outside
- Josh Wilkins of simplehiker.com
- Climb_CA
UPDATE: More THD irregulars on LinkedIn:
of GoBlog.
Point being, the site’s spread is pretty doggone vast — no telling whom you might happen across from the old days. Whether they actually want to hear from you is, well, their business.
why are you always leaving me out, tom? why?
I didn’t think I could risk revealing your secret identity — I know that would have cataclysmic results.
good point. it’s tough being a super hero. batman. superman. climb_ca. it’s so lonely.
