Seems like a day for video links:
The Tampa Trib’s outdoors reporter talks about thru-hiking the Florida trail. This is a polished, well-produced piece, which seems odd for a newspaper guy, and offers a fascinating glimpse at the sights along the trail. My memories of living in Tampa for five years make me think a hike down that way would veer far into the no-fun zone, but this vid has me rethinking that. (Link via Best Hikes & Florida Hikes blogs.)
“My Trip to the Silk Road” is an American’s photo collage from a trip to the interior of China. Excellent soundtrack. (Link via Gadling).
Plowing at Yosemite shows what crews go through to get all the snow off the roads in the high country. It’s a lot more complicated than driving a big truck with a big blade down a snow-covered highway. (Link via Yosemite Blog, which notes that plowing of the Tioga Pass road begins April 16.)
