I just love ‘summit shots’…..
I recall my summits and also think about what musings are going through the person’s mind when the picture was taken…About what they have just enjoyed in their climb, what they are experiencing right then… Summits are indeed special places…

I was standing on this side of the summit for a reason. The view here was very rewarding and I felt safer here. My knees actually shook looking over the other side. It was a cliff face and a long way down. Audrey, the photographer, was standing next to the cliff, camera in hand, oblivious to her precarious situation.
A hiking “must” if you find yourself in the Bozeman area. You can summit the peak in a couple of hours, and the views are fantastic! Be on the lookout for mountain goats and extreme skiers hiking to “The Great One.”
