Nice blog!
The picture here is indeed from Japan. I’m pictured on Doppyo with my co-workder and hiking buddy, Tanaka-san. Doppyo is a small peak on Mt. Nishi Hotaka in the Northern Alps of Japan. The Northern Alps Range borders on Gifu Prefecture, where I currently live and do most of my hiking.
The post in the picture reads Nishi-Hotaka-dake Doppyo, 2,701m.
