I downloaded Version 2 of Mozilla Firefox the other day an I’m liking what I’m seeing. Two features make my blogging life happy:
- Inline spell-checker: It’ll flag any misspelled words you type into a Web form, which makes it especially handy for avoiding typos you’d miss otherwise while dashing off a Blog posting.
- Searching inside forms: The “find text on page” function has been enhanced to find text inside Web forms. This is super handy for tweaking Movable Type templates; without the search function you have to scroll through them by hand to find the bits of text or code you want to change.
If you’re still creaking along on Internet Explorer (or Internet Exploder as we geeks prefer), you should seriously consider switching to Firefox. It’s way faster and has tons more features.
Yes, Inline spell checker was a good add-on, mainly for no-English people like me! 🙂
Another handy one for blogging is a browser called flock (flock.com). It’s based on Firefox (1.5x for now) but it has some really well integrated flickr and blogging features. Worth checking out.
