Tom Chandler sent me a note about his blog, which recently included a writeup encouraging fisherpeople to walk deeper into the country to find new and interesting lakes, streams and rivers where the fish refuse to bite.

Fishing answers the inevitable “what do I do when I get to camp?” question, and fishing gear can be pretty light. And if you know what you’re doing, you get fresh fish for dinner. Win/win/win. If the fish will bite.
