Andrew Engelson, editor of Washington Trails magazine, sent me a kind e-mail yesterday and pointed me to the blog of the Washington Trails Association. It’s just one fine element of a truly great Web site kept by the trails association. It has tons of trail writeups, backcountry cooking suggestions and updates of what’s happening in the Washington state outdoors scene.

Sets a high standard for all the regional trails sites out there.
