LittlePo.com is the work of a young woman from Taipei who’s into climbing, paddling and backpacking (now living in the northeastern U.S., I’m pretty sure). Her site has a link for switching between English and Chinese.
Little Po’s real name is not Sue, by the way. This link tells how she can never get Americans to figure out how to pronounce her name, which is Szu-Ting Yi.
Now we all have our homework lessons: using her translations to learn to read Chinese (the spoken language is another matter altogether).
Tom,
thank you for this wonderful intro. I just started to write bilingually recently (12/16/05) although I do have some pure English articles in the archive. One of my dreams is to lead backpacking trips in Taiwan for my American friends and write about them.
In Taiwan, we have 100, 10,000-foot peaks to bag.
I live in Philly, I bet it counts as northeastern US.
