Outdoor sports blog links to a half-dozen or so painfullly obvious hiking tips (the painful part becomes obvious only after it’s too late.)
Yosemite Blog points to a DVD on trails in the park. Be sure to take along your portable DVD player on your Yosemite hike so you can cause wailing and gnashing of teeth among right-thinking outdoorspeople.
Cutter insists he’s not a gram weenie, though he does say that the new 13-ounce backpack he just ordered is not exactly ultralight.
Speaking of packs, HikerDeals found a great deal on one that’s rigged to haul your snowboard.
Airplane Journal has a writeup about a hike to Rose Peak from Sunol Wilderness; it took me two days to finish this hike; AJ did it in one.
