Just found two excellent sites: Hiking Upward, which profiles tons o’ trails in Virginia/West Virginia; and Mid-Atlantic Hikes, which ups the ante with Pennsylvania and Maryland.

If you live somewhere that doesn’t already have one of these “where should I hike this weekend?” sites, the thing to do is start one of your own. Another excellent example is Bay Area Hiker, which I’ve used tons of times.
