For my upcoming birthday, my wife bought me a guided day hike at Tomales Point from this outfit called Absolute Adventures. With any luck I’ll see giant thule elk mating (or at least calling out for love. They call it “bugling.”)

It’s supposed to be cloudy with rain in the afternoon, but if you’ve ever seen any pictures of the coastline around Point Reyes National Sesashore (Prince Charles and Camilla were there yesterday!) you’ll know it’s second to none.
