As all you regulars know, I’m planning to relocate to the Eastern Seaboard next month. Right now my main preoccupation is finding another j-o-b, but I can offer these words of reassurance: Wherever we finally end up will have to be near major hiking opportunities. Once we’re settled, I’ll return to my regularly scheduled hiking-blogging.
If you’re here for the first time, see “Where to hike in the San Francisco Bay Area” — a reasonably concise guide to all the places I’ve hiked over the past five years.
Tom – you will be missed! You have been an inspiration to many of us – and it has been great to have you “show the way” on the Bay Area’s trails.
Good luck with the job hunt – and keep hiking!

Oh, bummer! The Bay Area will surely miss you, Tom! I look forward to reading about your adventures in North Carolina, though. Best of luck!
Good luck with your move, Tom! I look forward to hearing about hikes in North Carolina. There are a lot to choose from, and I know you’ll love the Great Smoky Mountains! Best wishes.

Hi Tom, have you relocated now? Been on any hiking adventures yet?
Just arrived on Saturday, been busying myself with looking for work mainly, which isn’t leaving much time to hike right now. I did write about my drive across the country at my homepage. http://tommangan.net/
