Alert reader Ann L. sends along this link: Natural Born Hikers. The site has been around for ages and is updated in a whenever-the-get-around-to manner which suggests they prize hiking over goofing off online. I always respect qualities in other people that I could never have myself.

The NBH crew has been pretty much everywhere (even Illinois!) including, of course, Alaska. There’s also a travel site with intriguing non-hiking options like whale watching in Baja.

All in all, nice place to grab some adventure ideas.
