Yes, I consumed too many Shiner Bocks. Ears are still ringing a bit from the Southern Culture on the Skids show. Haven’t had a decent night’s sleep in a week.
\n

But I’m not complaining.<\/p>\n

So last night we were in this rotating restaurant at the top of the hotel, talking about something or other, when for no sane reason I blurted out:
\n

“OK, I’m changing the subject: Wouldn’t it be cool to base jump from the top floor of the atrium? It’s 30 floors, there’s plenty of room for a parachute to open.”
\n

Let’s just say nobody was prepared for such a suggestion. Everybody busted out laughing, more at the incongruousness of the notion than any inherent humor.
\n

Well, it’s time to pack up and get back to California.
