{"id":631,"date":"2004-03-13T12:33:54","date_gmt":"2004-03-13T12:33:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tommangan.net\/printsthechaff\/?p=631"},"modified":"2004-03-13T12:33:54","modified_gmt":"2004-03-13T12:33:54","slug":"blogging-for-credit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tommangan.net\/printsthechaff\/2004\/03\/blogging-for-credit\/","title":{"rendered":"Blogging for credit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is pretty cool: NYU&#8217;s digital journalism class <a href=\"http:\/\/journalism.nyu.edu\/pubzone\/weblogs\/cta1\/\">has the students blogging. <\/a> Scroll down the right rail and you&#8217;ll see a list of all the students&#8217; blogs.<br \/>\n<P>It&#8217;s definitely an innovation: it&#8217;s not like you can turn in any old piece of crap, knowing it&#8217;s between you and your teacher.<br \/>\n<P>I can also imagine the competition: what&#8217;s it like to always know what the kid next to you is up to?<br \/>\n<P>I suggest another innovation: instead of the teacher doing the grading, let the blogs&#8217; readers do it.  Or NYU could be evil and say whoever gets the most hits wins.
