The names of the officers were provided to the paper by other police colleagues, &#8220;many of whom said they were dismayed by the department&#8217;s diminished hiring standards and the questionable character of some rookie officers.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Sounded like an interesting story idea &#8212; would be interesting to see how many other municipalities have similar problems.<br \/>\n<P>Speaking of the News: <a href=\"http:\/\/nstockdale.blogspot.com\/\">Nicole Stockdale <\/a>has just started her new job on the desk there.
