I was all set to write a post on how to create a mobile version of your hiking blog; then I discovered that if you use many of the popular blogging sites — WordPress.com, Blogspot, Tumblr, and Posterous — then you’ve most likely got mobile capability baked into your account by default and don’t need to worry about it.
But if you’re a WordPress power user, you have to jump through a few hoops (well, upload a new plugin) to make sure your blog is easy to view on mobile gadgets iPhones and blackberries.
I went with the WP Touch — it’s pretty easy to figure out how to configure it. I had it running quicker than it took me to do this blog post. Hope this proves useful to all you gadgeteers.
I just stumbled across your blog tonight – great information. Thanks for the suggestion on the WPtouch plugin. I’ve just installed it, and it works great. MB
