Also, when? How far? What was it like?

My last hike was a short one in a state park over Thanksgiving which was fun, but not worth for public contemplation. Instead I’ll comment on my last backpacking trip which was in October in the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. A trip report and link to photos can be found here: http://samh.net/backpacking/?do=showproduct&id=123
Editor’s note: Sam’s page is hinky at the moment but here’s his photo album from the outing:

I haven’t been anywhere for a month. My chair’s due to be finished in a couple of weeks, though, so look toward mid – December for the start of a huge rainy season.
I’ll possibly find a flat, paved trail this weekend. I have a parade Saturday night – does that count?
My wife and I reprised the Thanksgiving Day Sunrise Hike. We watched day break from the Belgum Trail at Wildcat Canyon Regional Park.
Excellent view of San Francisco, the Bay and Golden Gate and the north side of Mount Diablo.
All Right, Randy!
I ended up having to work on Thanksgiving so doing the crack-o’-down thing might’ve made for a long day.
My last hike was a 10.4-mile day hike to Dewey, Crocker, and Stanford Points in Yosemite on Black Friday. The weather was beautiful and so were the views. A trip report with photos can be found here: http://randomcuriosity.com/journal/archives/001362.html.
David: most impressive … hard to go wrong at Yosemite.
The streets of San Francisco last night, from the train station to the canyons of the Financial District and back! Of course, wine was involved.
Forgive me father, my last hike was two weeks ago, when I shredded my little toes in Grand Canyon (it’s a local affectation, they leave out the “the”). Rim to river to rim–15 miles down South Kaibab and back up Bright Angel in 9 hours. Perfect weather for it. Very reminiscent of my July midnight Half Dome climb except that the second half was the hard part. My next hike, however, is tomorrow.
My last two hikes over the last 2 weekends were both pathetically short ones but it was still great to get out. Both were pretty much the same, about 5.5 miles, hiking up to the Ponderosa Loop at Henry Coe along with some short stints up or down Hobbs Road to Manzanita Point Road where Poverty Flat Road intersects it and back. Nothing to write home about but then I was lugging a lot of camera gear with me. Call me crazy, call me irresponsible, but I think Henry Coe is a beautiful park in its own right and I am out to prove it in pictures. OK, so I am not a great photographer and I don’t have any great pictures yet. The evidence so far is at http://www.cynscapes.com but give me time and some neat weather and I will!
